A U shaped desk with hutch and a tower on the third side

This U shaped desk with hutch wraps three sides: a motorized sit-stand desk at the front, a 66 inch return down the left, and a low storage run across the back that ends in a 66 inch tall tower at its far end. The main desk is 72 inches long and 36 inches deep with a cable grommet, on a lift base rated for 250 pounds including the top, travelling from 27.75 to 47.4 inches.

The return is 24 inches deep and 29 inches high with a three-quarter-height modesty panel and its own grommet. The full U measures 82 inches across the storage run and 103 inches front to back. Made to order in the USA.

02 · Description

Drawers, open shelves and a tower, all within reach

The back run is a 65 inch cabinet on short legs, fitted with a wide box drawer over a lateral file drawer and an open cabinet with an adjustable shelf. The tower beside it is 17 inches wide and 66 inches tall: open shelves above, a door cabinet with an adjustable shelf below. Over the desk, a 48 inch wall-mounted overhead with hinged full-face doors and a 36 inch open overhead handle the things you want off the surface but in sight, which is what separates a U shaped executive desk with hutch from a bare table.

Which side the return is on

As shown, the return runs down the left side and the storage run sits across the back, with the tower at the far end of the run. A right-hand return can be specified at build time; ask before ordering and we will confirm it on the quote.

How does the height adjustment work?

Only the 72 inch main desk moves. Its motorized base lifts the top from 27.75 to 47.4 inches and is rated for 250 pounds including the surface. The return, the storage run, the tower and the overheads are fixed.

What is included?

The sit-stand main desk with two base shrouds and a hanging modesty panel, the 66 inch return, the 65 inch storage run with a wide drawer, a lateral file drawer and an open cabinet, the 66 inch tower, and the two wall-mounted overheads. The chair and laptop in the photo are not included.

How much room does a U shaped desk with hutch need?

The footprint is 82 inches wide by 103 inches deep. Allow about three feet behind the chair so you can turn between the desk and the return, and keep the wall above the desk clear for the overheads. As a U shaped standing desk it needs no extra room to rise: only the main top moves.

How does it ship?

By freight on pallets, as large factory-built modules: the desk and lift base, the return, the storage run, the tower, and the two overheads. Not flat-pack. The pieces connect to each other on site.
