Warranty
Every OfficeSimpli product carries a 15-Year Warranty under normal commercial or residential use, with tiered coverage by component. Warranty excludes normal wear and tear, accidental damage including water damage, and surface scratches.
Component coverage tiers
- Surfaces, edges, veneers, mechanical parts: 5 years
- Made-to-Order products: 3 years
- Standing-desk bases: 2 years (no replacement labor)
- Electrical, grommets, locks, task lights: 1 year (no replacement labor)
What is covered
- Substrate failures (delamination of the engineered wood core)
- Joinery failures (cam bolts loosening beyond reasonable tightening, dowels splitting)
- Hardware defects (drawer slides binding, hinges failing)
- Cable management hardware breaking under normal use
Surface coverage
The TFL surface and edge banding fall under the 5-year tier (surfaces, edges, veneers, mechanical parts). The UV clear coat is included. Coverage applies against premature wear or delamination under normal use.
Normal wear (light scratches from sliding objects, water marks that wipe off, fingerprints, dust accumulation) is not a warranty issue. Substantial damage from sharp impact, heat above 180 degrees Fahrenheit applied directly to the surface, or solvent-based cleaners is not covered.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover misuse, abuse, or neglect; damage from lightning or other acts of nature; normal wear and tear; color fastness or fading of any laminate, wood, or fabric; Customer's Own Materials (COM); damage caused by improper cleaning fluids; unauthorized modifications; clearance items; replacement labor charges (general clause); or rental furniture.
Conditions
Warranty extends to the original purchaser only, is non-transferable, and requires proof of purchase. Normal usage is capped at 40 hours per week for casegoods, tables, and desking. Warranty service is repair, replacement, or refund (less reasonable depreciation), at OfficeSimpli's option.
How to file a claim
Email support@officesimpli.com with:
- Order number
- Photos of the issue (well-lit, multiple angles)
- Description of when the issue started and under what conditions
We respond within one business day. If the claim is approved, we ship a replacement part or a complete replacement piece, freight prepaid. We may ask for the damaged piece back or for additional photos before approving.
Trade and B2B warranty
The same tiered umbrella warranty applies to volume orders for trade and B2B accounts. Net 30 invoicing customers receive warranty service through the same support channel.
