Lead times, shipping, and delivery
What is the lead time on a desk?
Ready-to-Ship items ship from our facilities in Los Angeles and Dallas. Ready-to-Ship items: 2-3 business days handling, then curbside and dock freight transit. Most continental US deliveries arrive 5-10 business days door-to-door. Made-to-Order items: 2-4 weeks build time, then the same freight transit window.
Who delivers the furniture?
Freight carriers handle all desk and table deliveries because the pieces are too large and too heavy for standard small parcel. The carrier calls 24-48 hours before delivery to schedule a 4-hour appointment window. Standard service is curbside or threshold (driveway, garage, or front door).
Do you offer white glove delivery?
White glove delivery (in-room placement, debris removal, light assembly) is available as an add-on for an additional fee. Email our contact form before placing the order so we can quote the upgrade for your zip code.
Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or international?
Continental US only on the standard line. For Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or international, email us first. We can quote the freight separately and confirm whether the destination is reachable.
Will the carrier bring it inside?
Standard freight delivery is curbside or threshold. The carrier is not contracted to bring large pieces upstairs, navigate tight hallways, or remove old furniture. If you need any of those services, book white glove.
Customization, ordering, and payment
Can I order a custom size or finish?
Yes for most pieces in the Made-to-Order line. Email our contact form with the dimensions and finish you want. Standard manufacturing tolerances apply. True custom dimensions add 4-6 weeks to the build cycle.
Can I cancel an order?
Yes, with a window. Ready-to-Ship orders can be cancelled before they enter the freight pickup queue (usually within 24-48 hours of order placement). Made-to-Order pieces can be cancelled before production starts (within 3 days). After production starts, the order is locked.
Do you accept purchase orders?
Yes for verified trade and B2B accounts. Net 30 invoicing is available with credit references and a signed account agreement. See the Trade page for details.
Assembly, materials, and care
How long does assembly take?
Most desks ship pre-assembled or with a 2-piece setup that takes 20 minutes with a Phillips head and an Allen wrench (included). The L-Desk takes longer because of the return panel: typically 30-45 minutes for two people. Step-by-step illustrated instructions ship with every piece.
What is the difference between TFL and solid wood?
TFL is thermally-fused laminate over an engineered wood substrate. The surface is heat- and pressure-bonded laminate that is scratch-resistant, water-resistant, and dimensionally stable. Solid wood looks great but warps with humidity, dings on impact, and shows water rings. For office furniture that gets daily use, TFL holds up where solid wood does not. We picked TFL for honest reasons, not cost reasons (the all-in unit cost is comparable).
Are the materials safe?
Every piece meets CARB Phase 2 indoor air quality standards (lower formaldehyde than CARB 1). FSC chain-of-custody on the wood content. SCS Indoor Advantage Gold certified adhesives. The UV clear coat over the laminate is solvent-free.
How do I care for the surface?
Microfiber cloth + warm water for daily cleaning. Gentle dish soap for stains. Avoid: solvent-based cleaners (acetone, alcohol-based glass cleaners), abrasive scrubbers (steel wool, scouring pads), bleach, ammonia. The TFL surface is durable but those will damage the finish over time.
Does the desk fit standard monitor arms?
Yes. The desktop is 1 inch thick at the edge with no underside obstructions in the clamp zones. Standard C-clamp monitor arms with a 0.4 to 3 inch clamp range mount cleanly.
Returns, warranty, and damage
What is the return policy?
30-day return window from delivery. If the piece is not the right fit (sizing, change-of-mind, did not work in your space), email our contact form within 30 days and we send a return label. Return shipping cost is deducted from the refund. The piece must be in original condition (no scratches, dings, or assembly damage). See the Returns page for full policy.
What is the warranty?
15-year umbrella warranty against material and workmanship defects. Warranty excludes normal wear and tear, accidental damage including water damage, and surface scratches. 2-year surface warranty on the TFL coating. See the Warranty page for full coverage details and exclusions.
The shipment arrived damaged. What do I do?
Note any visible damage on the freight bill of lading (BOL) at delivery if possible. Then email our contact form within 3 days of delivery with photos showing the damage. We file the freight claim, you do not. Replacement or credit is processed within 5-10 business days of approval.
Do I have to be home to receive it?
Yes for residential deliveries. The carrier requires a signature for curbside and dock freight delivery. If you cannot be home during the 4-hour window, ask the carrier to reschedule or arrange for a friend or family member to sign on your behalf.
Trade and B2B
Do you offer trade pricing?
Yes. Designers, architects, contractors, and corporate buyers can apply for trade pricing on volume orders. Volume tier discounts kick in at 5+ pieces, with steeper discounts at 10+ and 25+. See the Trade page to apply.
Can I get a quote on a project?
Yes. Email our contact form with the piece list, finish preferences, ship-to zip code, and target delivery date. Quotes typically come back within 1-2 business days.
Are tax-exempt orders supported?
Yes. Send your tax-exempt certificate to our contact form before placing the order and we apply the exemption at checkout.

OfficeSimpli is based in Dallas, TX. Our manufacturing operations run from Dallas, TX and Los Angeles, CA workshops.

Is there a showroom?
No public showroom currently. The product line is sold direct online. Trade clients with an active project can request finish samples to be shipped (free of charge for verified trade accounts).
