An executive desk with lateral file drawers in the credenza

This executive desk with lateral file storage keeps the filing behind you: a 62-1/2 inch credenza with two drawer stacks, each a pair of box drawers over a locking lateral file drawer, sits along the wall with a 3 inch hatch at the back for wires. In front of it stands a tapered 72 inch desk shell, 36 inches deep at one end and 30 at the other, with a 12 inch modesty panel and no pedestal, so the knee space runs the full width. Made to order in the USA.

At the end of the credenza stands a 78 inch tall storage cabinet, 24 inches square, with a locking door, one fixed shelf and three adjustable shelves. Desk and credenza sit 29 inches high; the back run, cabinet and credenza together, is 86 inches wide.

  • Thermally-fused laminate surface and UV clear coat

02 · Description

Slat panels above the credenza

Two 51 inch tall wall panels, each 31-1/4 inches wide, hang above the credenza with decorative vertical slats. They mount to the wall on metal clips, so the credenza top stays open for a printer or a tray. With the credenza taking the files and the cabinet taking the binders and boxes, the desk itself stays a clear 72 inch surface: an executive desk with credenza and lateral file storage behind you rather than under you.

Power is included

A mountable four-outlet power strip with a 15 amp breaker switch and a 10 foot cord is part of the set, along with a 20 inch wire tray that mounts under the surface. The strip plugs into a wall outlet; chargers and monitor cables run through the tray and stay off the floor.

How the pieces sit

As shown, the tall cabinet stands at the left end of the back run when you face the desk from the visitor side, and the desk stands free of the wall in front of the credenza. A mirrored layout can be specified at build time; ask before ordering and we will confirm it on the quote.

05 · FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What locks?

The credenza drawers and the storage cabinet door have keyed locks. The desk shell has no drawers, so there is nothing to lock on the desk itself. Lock and pull finishes are chosen at build time.

What comes included?

The 72 inch desk shell with its modesty panel, the 62-1/2 inch credenza with four box drawers and two lateral file drawers, the 78 inch storage cabinet, the two slat wall panels, the four-outlet power strip and the wire tray. The executive desk with credenza and lateral file arrives as one order; the chairs and monitor are not included.

What is the tall cabinet for?

Binders, boxes and anything you want behind a door. It is 78 inches tall and 24 inches square with a locking door, one fixed shelf and three adjustable shelves, so the shelf spacing follows what you store.

How much room does it need?

The back run is 86 inches wide and 24 inches deep, with the cabinet standing 78 inches tall and the slat panels above the credenza. The desk is 72 inches long and 36 inches deep at its deeper end, and it stands free of the wall, so allow a walkway between the desk and the credenza.

How does it ship?

By freight on a pallet, or more than one, as large factory-built pieces: the desk shell, the credenza, the storage cabinet and the two slat panels, with the power strip and tray. It is not flat-pack. The panels hang on the wall; the rest stands where you place it.
