An L shaped desk with storage at every level

This L shaped desk with storage starts with a tapered 72 inch desk, 30 inches deep at one end narrowing to 24 at the other, with a two-drawer box pedestal hanging under the top and a 12 inch modesty panel. A 42 inch return, 21 inches deep, carries a hanging file-drawer pedestal and a short removable modesty panel. Both pieces stand 29 inches high, and the L covers 72 inches along the desk by 88 inches along the return wall, wardrobe included. Made to order in the USA.

02 · Description

A wardrobe, a double shelf and a board set above the return

At the end of the return stands a 78 inch tall wardrobe, 16 inches wide and 24 inches deep, with a locking door, two fixed shelves, a clothes rail and a mirror inside, which is what makes this an L shaped desk with wardrobe rather than a desk with a filing drawer. Above the return hang a 72 inch double floating shelf, 13 inches deep with one shelf stepped higher than the other, and a 72 inch wide board set: a gloss whiteboard on one side and a fabric tackboard on the other. The boards mount to the wall on metal clips and the shelf comes with its mounting hardware, so the desk surface stays clear.

Power is included

A mountable four-outlet power strip with a 15 amp breaker switch and a 10 foot cord is part of the set, along with a 20 inch wire tray that mounts under the surface. The strip plugs into a wall outlet; chargers and monitor cables run through the tray and stay off the floor.

Which side the return is on

As shown, the return and the wardrobe run back along the wall on your right when you sit at the desk. A left-hand version can be specified at build time; ask before ordering and we will confirm it on the quote.

What comes included?

Everything in the picture except the chair and the laptop: the tapered desk with its two-drawer pedestal, the return with its file drawer, the 78 inch wardrobe, the double floating shelf, the whiteboard and tackboard set, the four-outlet power strip and the wire tray. As an L shaped executive desk with storage it arrives as one order.

Do the drawers and the wardrobe lock?

Yes. The two box drawers under the desk and the file drawer in the return have keyed locks, and the wardrobe door locks. Lock and pull finishes are chosen at build time.

How much floor space does an L shaped office desk with storage need?

Plan on 72 inches along the desk and 88 inches along the return wall, which includes the 16 inch wardrobe at the end, plus room to roll a chair inside the L. The wall above the return needs to be clear from desk height up for the shelf and the board set, and the wardrobe stands 78 inches tall.

How does it ship?

By freight on a pallet, or more than one for a set this size, as a handful of large factory-built pieces: the desk, the return, the wardrobe, the shelf and the boards. It is not flat-pack. The pieces connect to each other on site, and the shelf and boards hang on the wall.

Can I pick the tackboard fabric?

Yes. The tackboard half of the board set is fabric, and the pattern and color are chosen at build time; ask before ordering and we will send the options. The other half is a gloss whiteboard, so the set gives you an L shaped desk with whiteboard and pinboard in one 72 inch run.
