An L shaped reception desk with storage puts the greeting front on one leg and the working return on the other: 94 inches across the front, 90 inches down the return, with a full shroud counter wrapping the visitor side at 42 inches. Two locking pedestals ride under the surfaces: a box-box-file under the front desk for supplies, and a file-file under the return for hanging folders.

02 · Description

The shroud counter is the private option

A shroud counter is a continuous raised front that fully encloses the desk's face, standing at 42 inches with thick 1-7/8 inch top and side panels and a full-height modesty panel below. Compared to an open transaction shelf, the shroud gives the receptionist complete screening of monitors, paperwork, and the under-desk zone from every lobby angle. Visitors get a clean architectural front and a counter-height ledge for sign-ins.

Work down the return

The 90 inch return leg is the production side: computer, printer, and open surface, with the file-file pedestal underneath and the box-box-file within reach under the front desk. A grommet passes cables through the surface, and the corner where the legs meet becomes the natural command position, facing the door with everything in a chair-roll radius.
