A mobile bookcase that faces every direction

This mobile bookcase is a 36 inch cube on wheels. Four open shelf units, each 18 inches wide and 28 inches tall with an adjustable shelf, stand back to back in a pinwheel, so there is open shelving on all four sides and no dead face to push against a wall. The 36 inch square top stands 36 inches off the floor, counter height, and carries a contrasting accent band on its edge, as shown. Four heavy-duty 4 inch casters lock when you want it to stay put. Made to order in the USA.

A mobile bookshelf for the middle of the room

Put it where a wall bookcase cannot go. As a mobile bookshelf it divides two desks in an open office, parks beside a reception desk with brochures, or rolls into a classroom with bins of supplies, then moves again when the layout changes. Movable bookcases like this one take binders, reams of paper, reference books and storage bins; the adjustable shelf in each cube sets the gap for tall or short items, and the top is a landing spot for the printer tray or the day's mail.

Eight compartments, no doors

One shelf in each of the four cubes gives eight open compartments, two per side, so what is in it stays visible and reachable from wherever you stand. A small rolling island like this is the right size for one team's shared supplies rather than a department's archive.

What comes included?

The four shelf cubes, the 36 inch top and the caster base: the complete small rolling island as pictured. The binders, bins and paper are props.

How many shelves does it have?

Each of the four cubes has one adjustable shelf, so eight open compartments in total, two on each side. Nothing locks; it is open shelving.

Does a rolling bookcase need to be locked in place?

All four casters lock. Lock them once the rolling bookcase is where you want it, especially when it stands between desks or beside a walkway, and unlock to move it.

How does it ship?

By freight on a pallet, as factory-built pieces: the four shelf cubes, the top and the caster base. It is not flat-pack. The pieces connect to each other on site.
