A modern executive desk for home office that sits and stands

This modern executive desk for home office use is a 72 inch rounded-rectangle top, 29 inches deep with rounded corners, on a height adjustable base whose two columns are housed in the L: one inside a pill-shaped shroud at the open end, one inside a 62-1/2 inch low credenza at the other. The top travels from 29.5 to 49.25 inches, floor to work surface, with an inset controller on your left, a grommet for cables and a 60 inch knife-shaped modesty panel beneath. There are no wall pieces, so the set fits a spare room as a small L shaped standing desk. Made to order in the USA.

  • Thermally-fused laminate surface and UV clear coat
  • CARB 2 compliant materials throughout

02 · Description

The credenza is the leg

The low credenza under the end of the top is 23 inches high and 21 inches deep: a 32 inch section with a box drawer over a locking lateral file drawer, and a 32 inch open bay with an adjustable shelf, each with a wire hatch at the back. It carries one end of the top and hides one lift column, which is how this height adjustable L shaped desk gets its filing without a pedestal hanging under a moving top. The footprint is 62-1/2 inches along the credenza by 72 inches along the top.

Cables and the controller

A grommet in the top takes monitor and laptop cords down toward the credenza, where each bay has a wire hatch at the back, so the cords travel with the top as it rises and disappear behind the storage. The controller is inset in the top on your left as you work; a right-hand version can be specified at build time. Ask before ordering and we will confirm it on the quote.

05 · FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the height adjustment work?

The 72 inch top rides a height adjustable base with two columns, one hidden in the pill-shaped shroud and one in the low credenza. The inset controller moves the surface between 29.5 and 49.25 inches. On this height adjustable L shaped desk only the top moves; the credenza stays at 23 inches.

What comes included?

The top with its modesty panel, the height adjustable base with the pill-shaped shroud, and the 62-1/2 inch low credenza with its locking file drawer and open bay. A modern home office desk in three main pieces; the chair, lamp and plant are not included.

Will it fit a small room?

The footprint is 62-1/2 inches along the credenza by 72 inches along the top, plus room to roll a chair beside it, with nothing to hang on the wall. Among modern desks for home office use this is the smaller L: a small L shaped standing desk that still carries a file drawer and an open shelf.

Does the drawer lock?

Yes. The lateral file drawer in the credenza has a keyed lock; the box drawer sits above it in the same section. Lock and pull finishes are chosen at build time.

How does it ship?

By freight on a pallet, as large factory-built pieces: the top, the base with its shroud and the credenza. It is not flat-pack. The pieces connect to each other on site.
