02 · Description

Built heavier than it has to be

The front and side panels are high-pressure laminate at 3 inches thick, a commercial construction grade built for decades of lobby traffic, cart bumps, and cleaning crews. The panels stand 40 inches high, screening the work surface from the lobby, and a hang-on transaction counter floats on the visitor face, giving guests a ledge for sign-ins and hand-offs above the panel line.

The working side

Behind the front panel there is a full-width work surface with a locking box-box-file pedestal: two supply drawers up top and a file drawer for hanging folders below. A grommet passes cables cleanly through the work surface, keeping phone and computer wiring off the desk.
