A small L shaped office desk: two pieces, two drawers

This small L shaped office desk is the desk and return alone: a tapered 72 inch desk, 30 inches deep at one end and 24 at the other, and a 42 inch return that is 21 inches deep. A box drawer hangs under the desk and a file drawer hangs under the return, each in a pedestal with a keyed lock. Both tops sit 29 inches high and the L covers 72 inches along the desk by 72 inches along the return, with nothing to mount on the wall. Made to order in the USA.

02 · Description

A compact L shaped desk for a private office or a spare room

The taper is what keeps the footprint down: the top runs full depth where the return meets it and narrows toward the open end, so the desk takes less floor than a full-depth rectangle of the same length. A 6-1/4 inch modesty panel screens the front of the desk and a removable 8 inch panel screens the return. As a small L shaped desk with drawers it holds the folders and the odds and ends without a separate cabinet, and as a compact L shaped desk it fits where a U-shape or a credenza set would not.

Power is included

A mountable four-outlet power strip with a 15 amp breaker switch and a 10 foot cord is part of the set, along with a 20 inch wire tray that mounts under the surface. The strip plugs into a wall outlet; chargers and monitor cables run through the tray and stay off the floor.

Which side the return is on

As shown, the return runs back along the wall on your right when you sit at the desk. A left-hand version can be specified at build time; ask before ordering and we will confirm it on the quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the drawers lock?

Yes. The box drawer under the desk and the file drawer under the return each have a keyed lock. Lock and pull finishes are chosen at build time.

What comes included?

The tapered desk with its box drawer, the return with its file drawer, the four-outlet power strip and the wire tray. The small L shaped executive desk arrives as one order; the chair, lamp and laptop in the photos are not included.

How much floor space does it need?

72 inches along the desk and 72 inches along the return, plus room to roll a chair inside the L. There are no wall pieces, so the wall above the desk stays free. For a small L shaped desk with storage this is the whole footprint: the drawers hang under the tops and add nothing to it.

How does it ship?

By freight on a pallet, as two large factory-built pieces, the desk and the return, with the power strip and tray. It is not flat-pack. The two pieces connect on site.
