A U shaped office desk with shelves above the credenza

This U shaped office desk with shelves wraps a 72 inch desk, a 42 inch bridge and a 72 inch credenza around one chair, with a 72 inch double floating shelf and a whiteboard and tackboard set on the wall behind. The desk is 30 inches deep with a full modesty panel and a box/box/file pedestal: two shallow drawers over a file drawer. The bridge and credenza are 21 inches deep, and the credenza carries a storage cabinet pedestal with a door and a lock. Every top sits 29 inches high; the U covers 72 inches across by 93 inches front to back. Made to order in the USA.

02 · Description

Floating shelves and a board set, no hutch

Instead of a hutch on the credenza, a 72 inch double floating shelf hangs on the wall above it, 13 inches deep with one shelf stepped higher than the other, so books and binders sit at eye level and the credenza top stays open. Beneath the shelf a 72 inch wide board set pairs a gloss whiteboard with a fabric tackboard, which makes this a U shaped desk with whiteboard and pinboard in one run. The boards mount to the wall on metal clips and the shelf comes with its mounting hardware.

Power is included

A mountable four-outlet power strip with a 15 amp breaker switch and a 10 foot cord is part of the set, along with a 20 inch wire tray that mounts under the surface. The strip plugs into a wall outlet; chargers and monitor cables run through the tray and stay off the floor.

Which side the bridge is on

As shown, the bridge runs down your right side when you sit at the desk, and the credenza cabinet door is at the end away from the bridge. A mirrored layout can be specified at build time; ask before ordering and we will confirm it on the quote.

05 · FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What comes included?

The desk with its box/box/file pedestal and modesty panel, the bridge, the credenza with its storage cabinet pedestal, the 72 inch double floating shelf, the whiteboard and tackboard set, the four-outlet power strip and the wire tray. As a U shaped desk with floating shelves it arrives as one order; the chairs and lamp are not included.

What locks?

The box/box/file pedestal in the desk and the cabinet door in the credenza have keyed locks. Lock and pull finishes are chosen at build time.

How much room does a U shaped desk with shelves need?

72 inches across and 93 inches from the desk front to the credenza, plus room to pull a chair out of the U. The wall behind the credenza needs 72 inches of clear width for the shelf and the board set.

How does it ship?

By freight on a pallet, or more than one, as large factory-built pieces: the desk with its pedestal, the bridge, the credenza, the shelf and the board set, with the power strip and tray. It is not flat-pack. The pieces connect to each other on site; the shelf and boards hang on the wall.

Can I pick the tackboard fabric?

Yes. The tackboard is fabric, and the pattern and color are chosen at build time. Ask before ordering and we will send the options.
