How Much Does a Conference Table Cost in 2026?
What conference tables cost in 2026, from flat-pack to custom boardroom: four kinds of table, what each includes and how long each takes to arrive.
The short answer: At time of posting, a flat-pack conference table you build yourself costs about $200 to $400 (about 8 ft long), a ready-to-ship commercial table about $1,100 to $5,000 and up (8 to 12 ft), and a made-to-order table about $2,300 to $7,300 (8 to 16 ft). Custom boardroom tables start around $4,000, the posted prices we found run to about $12,000, and one maker says its past projects have run $30,000 and up. OfficeSimpli's ready-to-ship conference table is $1,999 at 8 ft, $2,299 at 10 ft and $2,499 at 12 ft, with two power units built into the top. It ships in 2-3 business days, and freight typically takes 3-10 business days after it ships.
How much does a flat-pack conference table cost?
Flat-pack means the table comes in boxes as flat panels, legs and hardware, and you put it together yourself.
At time of posting they cost $203.99 to $379.99 on makers' own sites, and each one is about 8 ft long.
What you get: a table in stock that ships in two boxes, with free shipping at both makers (Tribesigns leaves out Alaska, Guam, Hawaii and Puerto Rico).
What you give up: you build it yourself from flat panels and loose hardware (Tribesigns recommends two people for the job), and none of the three lists outlets.
What does a ready-to-ship commercial table cost?
Ready to ship means the table is already built and in stock, so it leaves in days, not weeks. Commercial here means a table sold for everyday office use.
One note before we go on: the first conference table in this section is ours. OfficeSimpli publishes this guide and sells that table.
OfficeSimpli's ready-to-ship conference table is $1,999 at 8 ft, $2,299 at 10 ft and $2,499 at 12 ft at time of posting. Here is what that price includes: two flip-up power units built into the top, each with 3 AC outlets, 2 USB-A and 2 USB-C ports; a table made in the USA; and delivery mostly assembled, in 5 pieces at 8 ft and 7 pieces at 10 or 12 ft.
The top is engineered wood with a thermally fused laminate surface in California Walnut. Thermally fused laminate is a finish layer fused onto the board with heat; it resists scratches, repels water, and wipes clean. It ships in 2-3 business days, and freight typically takes 3-10 business days after it ships. Freight is free to the continental US. It carries a 15-Year Warranty with tiered coverage by component, which means some parts, such as edges and electrical components like the power units, have shorter coverage.
The low end of this tier, $1,084.24, is an 8 ft table that is 42 inches deep (front to back), sold through a dealer.
For a full side-by-side of ready-to-ship tables (not just prices), see our ready-to-ship conference tables guide.
What you give up: ours comes in one finish (California Walnut), one depth (48 inches) and three lengths: 8, 10 or 12 ft. It still needs some assembly: we estimate about 10 minutes once it is unpacked, with a screwdriver. Delivery is curbside or to a loading dock by default, and White Glove delivery, carried inside to the room you choose, is $199 per order. Across the tier, power varies: Vari lists it built in, while Juniper Office and Safco sell it as an add-on.
How much does a made-to-order conference table cost?
Made to order means the maker builds the table after you order it. You wait weeks instead of days, and in return you get more lengths, finishes and bases to choose from.
Our made-to-order conference tables run $2,999 to $3,599 at 8 ft, $4,099 at 10 ft, $3,899 to $5,399 at 12 ft and $4,799 to $7,299 at 16 ft at time of posting, for the table alone. Each is built in about 2 to 4 weeks before it ships, and freight typically takes 3-10 business days after it ships. The table at the top of this page, the Tenure 16 ft Large Rectangular, is $7,299 and has two recessed power modules in the top. To price your own size, base and finish, try our 3-D conference table builder. Our step-by-step guide to designing a custom table shows how it works.
The low end of this tier, $2,299, is an 8 ft table that is 42 inches deep (front to back).
The base and the shape change the price too, so one of our 12 ft tables costs less than our 10 ft table on a different base.
What you give up: time. Each of ours is built in about 2 to 4 weeks before it ships; Axis Office lists a production time of 3 weeks, and Juniper Office says its Highland ships in 8-10 weeks.
How much does a custom boardroom table cost?
Custom means the table is built to your spec: an unusual length or shape, a stone-look or wood veneer top, or a wood you pick. Veneer is a thin layer of natural wood; laminate is a printed finish layer sealed on top.
Among custom makers that post prices, a boardroom table starts around $4,000, and the posted prices we found run to $11,980. Chagrin Valley Custom Furniture says its past projects have run $30,000 and up. Some custom makers, such as GP Furniture Makers, quote each table on request instead of posting prices. Paul Downs Cabinetmakers shows a price range for each foot of table length, then quotes the final price.
Custom sizes are available from us too: 14 and 18 ft lengths, and depths from 36 to 60 inches (front to back), can be built to order. Our conference table builder prices them as you design.
What changes the price of a conference table?
These are the things that move a conference table price, with examples from the tables above.
- Length: Within one table line, a longer table costs more: our ready-to-ship table is $1,999 at 8 ft and $2,499 at 12 ft.
- Shape: A curved top can cost more than a rectangle. At Axis Office, a 120-inch boat-shaped top on the same base costs $200 more.
- Power: Some tables include power, and others sell it as an add-on. Ours includes two units, each with its own cord that plugs into a regular outlet, and Vari lists built-in power. Axis Office charges $245 per power box, and Juniper Office $399 per hub, which must be hardwired by a licensed electrician. On our made-to-order tables, power is built in on some and an optional module on others (ask us for the price).
- Top and finish: At Axis Office, a stone-look laminate top adds $200 and a wood veneer top adds $400.
- Base: At the same length, the base changes the price. Our 8 ft conference table with metal legs is $2,999, and our 8 ft table with a trestle base (no legs at the corners) is $3,599. At Axis Office, a 120-inch table is $2,750 on its standard base and $3,450 on a base with a pedestal (a single upright column).
- Delivery and assembly: Shipping terms differ: Juniper Office says all orders over $5,000 ship free, and Axis Office charges shipping by location. A flat-pack table also costs you the time to build it.
- Lead time: Ready-to-ship tables come in the lengths and finishes in stock; made-to-order and custom tables take weeks and give you more choices.
Not sure which length fits your team? See our conference table size guide or try the conference table size calculator.
What else should you budget for?
- Delivery: check what the price covers. Ours ships free to the continental US, curbside or to a loading dock; delivery inside is a paid add-on.
- Assembly: flat-pack tables are yours to build. Juniper Office says its Upland requires a drill for assembly, and professional installation is recommended.
- An electrician: Juniper Office says its power hub must be hardwired by a licensed electrician, so plan for one if you add it.
- Chairs: a separate line. We do not sell chairs, so budget for them on their own.
Worth knowing: the top of our ready-to-ship table comes in two pieces at every length, so a seam runs across the middle.

At time of posting: flat-pack about $200 to $400, ready-to-ship commercial about $1,100 to $5,000 and up, made to order about $2,300 to $7,300, and custom boardroom from about $4,000, with posted prices to about $12,000 and one maker's past projects at $30,000 and up.
How much do boardroom tables cost?
Among the tables in this guide, 16 ft and longer means made to order or custom. At 16 ft they run $4,799 to $9,480 at time of posting: ours (such as our 16 ft boardroom table), Juniper Office's Highland and Loewen Design Studios' walnut table (its price includes shipping and tariffs).
