A height adjustable office desk that sits on its own storage

This height adjustable office desk carries its 72 by 36 inch top on a motorized base rated for 250 pounds including the surface, moving from 27.75 to 47.4 inches. One column stands in a laminate shroud at the open end; the other end of the desk rides on a 72 inch storage cabinet set at a right angle, so the desk and the cabinet form an L that uses the cabinet as a leg. The cabinet is 22-9/16 inches high, low enough for the desk to drop to its lowest setting.

02 · Description

Drawers, shelves and a place to sit

The 72 inch cabinet is 19 inches deep: 36 inches of open storage with an open back beside a 36 inch box drawer over a lateral file drawer, all on a toe kick. At its end, a second box and lateral drawer unit, 36 inches wide with a lock, is topped with an upholstered seat cushion, which turns the end of the L into a bench for a guest or a stack of samples. On the wall above, a 36 inch open overhead cabinet and two 36 inch floating shelves take the books.

Which way the L runs

As shown, the storage cabinet sits at the right end of the desk when you face it from the chair. A left-hand version can be specified at build time; ask before ordering and we will confirm it on the quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the height range?

27.75 to 47.4 inches, measured to the top of the work surface. The electric height adjustable desk base is a motorized two-column lift rated for 250 pounds including the top. The storage cabinet under the desk end is 22-9/16 inches high so the desk can drop to its lowest setting.

What comes included?

The whole standing desk with storage as pictured, a sit stand desk with storage on both ends: the sit-stand desk with its base and one shroud, the 72 inch open-and-drawer storage cabinet, the locking drawer unit with its seat cushion, the 36 inch open overhead cabinet, and two floating shelves. The laptop and plant are props.

Do the drawers lock?

The box drawer and lateral file drawer in the bench unit at the end of the L lock, which makes this a standing desk with drawers that lock. If you want a lock on the cabinet drawers under the desk as well, ask before ordering and we will quote it.

How does it ship?

By freight on a pallet, or more than one, as large factory-built pieces: the desk top and lift base, the 72 inch storage cabinet, the bench unit with its cushion, the overhead and the two shelves. Not flat-pack. The pieces connect to each other on site.
