A rolling work table with storage at both ends

This rolling work table with storage puts an 84 by 36 inch top at standing height, 42-1/2 inches, on two storage cabinets instead of legs. Each cabinet is 36 inches wide, 18 inches deep and 35 inches tall with hinged doors, and stands on its own base with four heavy-duty 4 inch casters, eight in all. Between them, 48 inches of open space under the top, braced by two steel spanning rods, leaves room to stand in close or slide stools under. Made to order in the USA.

02 · Description

A mobile work table that moves as one piece

Because the two cabinets are tied together by the rods and the top, the whole mobile work table rolls as a unit: into a huddle space, across a studio, out to the floor for a packing day. Lock the casters and it stays. As a work table with storage cabinets it carries its own supplies, so the drawing roll, the tape gun and the swatch books ride in the cabinets and the top stays clear for the work.

Standing height, not desk height

At 42-1/2 inches the top is standing height: sized for standing meetings, layout work and sorting, not for a seated desk chair. A portable work table with wheels at this height suits print and copy rooms, design studios, labs and breakrooms where people gather around rather than sit down. No lock is listed on the cabinet doors; one can be specified at build time.

What comes included?

The 84 inch top, both door cabinets, their two caster bases and the two spanning rods with their brackets: the whole mobile work table with storage as pictured. The stools, laptops and swatches are props. The finish in the photos is not a standard finish and costs more; standard finishes are included at this price.

Can you sit at it?

It is a standing-height table at 42-1/2 inches, so a desk chair is too low. Stools sized for a 42 inch counter fit the 48 inch open center.

Do the cabinets lock?

No lock is listed on the door cabinets. A lock can be specified at build time; ask before ordering and we will quote it.

How much room does it need?

84 by 36 inches of floor, 42-1/2 inches high, plus room to open the cabinet doors and to roll it. Lock all eight casters once it is where you want it.

How does it ship?

By freight on a pallet, as factory-built pieces: the two cabinets, their caster bases, the top and the rods. It is not flat-pack. The pieces connect to each other on site.
