01 · Details

A 14 ft table, 54 inches deep, on a panel base

A 14 ft conference table 54 inches deep fills the gap between a 12-footer that gets tight for a full team and a 16-footer that crowds a standard room. This one is the 54 inch deep conference table in the line: 6 inches deeper than the standard 48, which widens the center channel for documents, a display, and power without changing how many people sit at it.

The top is 168 inches long and 54 inches deep on four base panels with built-in wire management, in two pieces, 1 and 1/8 inches thick with a 2mm PVC edge band. Built to order in Dallas and Los Angeles.

  • Thermally-fused laminate surface and UV clear coat
  • CARB 2 compliant materials throughout
  • Made in the USA
  • 15-year warranty
  • Ships in 2-3 weeks.

02 · Description

Sized for a 12 to 14 person room

Seven chairs fit along each long side at 24 inches apiece, 14 seats; at 30 inches each, with a chair at each end, it seats 12. Plan on about 22 by 12 1/2 feet with 48 inches between the table edge and the walls, so chairs pull out and people can walk behind them.

The panel base, wire management, and power

The base is four panel sections, each 5 inches thick with squared corners and 30 inches wide, so it sits 12 inches in from each long edge and knees clear it. The end panels stand 18 inches in from each end of the top, so the seats at the head and foot keep their legroom. Each base panel is hollow with a swing door on one side, with a pull included, so you reach the plugs without crawling under the table; the three wire troughs between the panels carry the cords from one end to the other.

Pick one to three power grommets on this page and they are cut into the top before it ships, placed clear of the panels so no base needs a cut-out. Cords drop from each grommet and run inside the base to the outlet. Side-panel finishes and up to three matching credenzas are picked on this page and built with the table.

05 · FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How many people does this table seat?

It seats up to 14 at 24 inches of width per seat along the two long sides, or 12 with more elbow room. A 54 inch deep conference table leaves room for laptops and a shared screen at the head.

How big a room do I need for a 14 foot conference table with panel base?

Leave 48 inches from the table edge to every wall so chairs pull out and people can walk behind seated guests: about 22 by 12 1/2 feet for this table. If nobody needs to pass behind a seated person, 36 inches from the table edge works, about 20 by 10 1/2 feet.

Will my power strip fit inside the base?

Yes. The wire troughs between the base panels have 12 by 5 and 3/4 inches of clear space inside, room for a power strip and its brick, and the swing door on each base panel lets you reach the plugs.

Can I add power to the table?

Yes. Pick one to three power grommets on this page, choose whether they run across or along the table, and they are cut into the top before it ships, placed clear of the base panels.

Why does the top come in two pieces?

Sections over 96 inches cannot ship by freight, so a 168-inch top comes in two sections, each a two-person carry. They meet at a seam across the table in the room, and on woodgrain colors the grain will not line up perfectly across it.

How does it ship and arrive?

A conference table 54 inches deep ships by freight, on one or more pallets depending on size, securely wrapped. It arrives in a handful of large, mostly assembled pieces: the two top sections, the four base panels and the three wire troughs that join them go together in the room. It is not flat-pack furniture, so there is no bag of screws and loose panels to build from.
