A U shaped reception desk with counter service built in

A U shaped reception desk with counter space wraps the person working it in surface on three sides: the main desk in front, a connecting bridge on one side, and a full credenza run across the back. This station measures 72 inches wide by 109 inches deep overall, with a full-height transaction counter standing at 41 inches on the visitor side, the height where guests sign in and packages change hands without seeing the working surface behind it.

We make it to order in the USA, sized for lobbies that need a working command post, not just a table by the door.

  • Thermally-fused laminate surface and UV clear coat
  • CARB 2 compliant materials throughout
  • Made in the USA
  • 15-year warranty
  • Ships in 2-4 weeks.

02 · Description

The main surface raises and lowers electrically

The main work surface rides an electric height-adjustable base that moves the surface from 27.75 to 47.4 inches, so the person staffing the desk can sit for focused work and stand to greet without leaving their station. Receptionists spend full shifts at this desk; letting them change posture is the difference between a desk that works for one hour and one that works for eight. The bridge, counter, and credenza stay at fixed heights.

Storage and power on the working side

A file center pedestal sits under the credenza: the file drawers lock with a key for records and valuables, and the box drawers above them hold everyday small items. The credenza itself adds a long second surface across the back, open underneath so boxes and deliveries slide out of sight of the lobby. A modesty panel screens the desk's knee space from the visitor side, and a recessed module with two outlets and two USB ports is set into the work surface, so the phone, monitor, and badge printer plug in at the desk instead of trailing cords to a wall.

05 · FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much floor space does this reception desk need?

The full station is 72 inches wide and 109 inches deep, counting the front desk, the side bridge, and the rear credenza. Allow a few feet on the open side for the chair and walk-in path. The transaction counter stands 41 inches high on the visitor side.

Is the height adjustment electric?

Yes. The main work surface sits on an electric height-adjustable base with a 27.75 to 47.4 inch surface range, controlled from the desk. The bridge, transaction counter, and credenza stay at fixed heights.

What locks on this desk?

The file drawers in the pedestal lock with a key, so records and valuables stay secured overnight. The box drawers above them are open-access for everyday supplies like pens and badge stock.

Does it have built-in power?

Yes. A recessed module with two power outlets and two USB ports is built into the main work surface, so the phone, computer, and charging cables run at the desk without an extension cord across the lobby floor.

What is a transaction counter on a reception desk?

The transaction counter is the raised shelf on the visitor side of a reception desk, typically 41 to 42 inches high. Guests use it to sign in, drop off packages, and complete quick exchanges standing up, while it screens the working surface and paperwork behind it from view.
